About National youth council
The National Youth Council is a platform that provides opportunities for the youth to share ideas for self and national development.
Rwandan Youth: any person aged between sixteen (16) and thirty (30) years.

ORGANS
The Executive Secretariat is the technical organ responsible for the day-to-day functioning and implementation of the resolutions of the General Assembly and the Executive Committee at the national level.
The Executive Secretariat of the National Youth Council is composed of the Executive Secretary and other staff.
The Executive Secretary of the National Youth Council is appointed to and removed from the office by a Prime Minister’s Order.
Members of the Executive Secretariat is governed by the General Statutes for Public Service.
Briefly, Executive Secretariat is responsible for:
The General Assembly which is the supreme management and decision-making organ of the National Youth Council
The General Assembly also operates at the national, District, Sector, Cell and Village levels.
The General Assembly at the national level is the supreme organ of the National Youth Council.
The General Assembly at the national level consists of the following members:
1° members of the Executive Committee of the National Youth Council at the National level;
2° Members of the Executive Committee of the National Youth Council at the District level.
The General Assembly meets once per year and in any other time, when there’s need.
The Executive committee is an organ at the National, District, Sector and Cell levels;
At National level, it is composed of the following 9 elected members:
Executive Committee at the National Level has the following responsibilities:
a. Implement the decisions of the general assembly;
b. Put in place an appropriate mechanism to coordinate the activities of youth;
c. Prepare for the general assembly the necessary requirements to fulfil its mission.
d. Advocate for the youth in decisions making organs;
e. Prepare the draft budget and transmit it to the General assembly
f. Monitor the use of the resources of the National Youth Council;
g. Examine the activity report contract and evaluation between the ministry in charge of youth and the National Youth Council;
h. Perform any other duty that may be assigned by the General Assembly.
