Korea University students meet Executive Secretary of the National Youth Council
Earlier today, the Executive Secretary of the National Youth Council Mr. MWESIGWA Robert has interacted with the Korean University Students who are conducting volunteerism services in Rwanda under the International Youth Fellowship (IYF).
The discussions focused on the role of youth in building the Country as well as the Q&A sessions between the Executive Secretary and the delegation.
Speaking to these students, the Executive Secretary told them that Rwandan youth participate in the development of the Country through volunteerism, which is part of patriotism.
“It is the best practice to give back to the community through volunteerism, and this is real patriotism, we do the same to our youths through their leadership here in Rwanda”, MWESIGWA told them at the meeting.
He added that the leadership has chosen to instill moral values in Rwandan youth so that they have space to participate in the development of their communities.
This team of Korea University Students is in Rwanda from 14th to 18th January 2020, they also met youth representatives in Rwanda at Kimisagara-Youth Empowerment for Global Opportunity (YEGO) and discussed different ways on how they could come up with different projects to deal with problems in their communities.
It is planned that the Korea University Students will continue to collaborate with Rwandan youth representatives to establish common platform for addressing issues through mind education projects; under the International Youth fellowship, mind education sessions were held in Rwanda on different occasions.
The Team of Korea University Students are in Rwanda to conduct volunteerism before their graduation at University.
The team of Korea students have also interacted with youth representatives at Kimisagara YEGO center.
